Coffee Table

I continue to explore tongue and groove as a fairly restrictive joinery technique. Here everything is joined using tongue and groove techniques with lap joints on the interior for the horizontal surfaces. I used a torch to created the blackened shell which was oiled and then sealed. For the table’s surface I used oak strips to fill in the voids left between the boards both for a fun visual as well as to keep everything in line.
